This adorable Little Giraffe was born on May 25th 1961.  Back then, the only toy animals to play with were farm animals or pet figures. Monsieur RAMPEAU, an expert sap molding artist, came up with the idea of creating something unique and different- a GIRAFFE! ROMPEAU's initial ideas made this figure perfect for baby hands to grasp. Sophie went into production on Thursday May 25th (St. Sophie's Day). Sophie is made from 100% natural rubber derived from the sap of th Hevea Tree, and perfectly safe for babies to teeth on!
